«One Run» International Half Marathon

On 19 May 2024 in Yaounde «One Run» International Half Marathon, which was organised simultaneously in 16 countries of the world, took place with the support of the Russian Embassy in Cameroon. This year the race was hosted for the first time on the African continent, co-sponsored by the Russian organisation «League of Heroes» and the Cameroon Athletics Federation.

More than 1500 citizens of Cameroon, as well as compatriots residing in Yaounde and employees of the Russian Embassy took part in the competitions at distances of 1 km (children's race), 5 km and 21 km (adult race). Following the event, H.E. Georgy TODUA, Russian Ambassador to Cameroon, Mr. Dissake MBARGA, Inspector General of Services at the Ministry of Sport and Physical Education of Cameroon, and other distinguished guests presented medals and gifts to the winners during an award ceremony.
