President of Equatorial Guinea receives Ambassador from Russian Federation
The Government of the Russian Federation congratulated the people of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on 8th June for their recent election as non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2018-2019 period.
Nikolay Ratsiborinsky, accredited Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador from the country in Malabo, passed on the message to the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, during an audience held at the People's Palace.
Assisted by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, and a member from the diplomatic mission, the meeting also served as an occasion for the Kremlin envoy to present condolences from his Government to that of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea for the recent death of the former Minister for National Defence, Vicente Eya Olomo.
During their conversations, the President and the ambassador also covered the framework cooperation agreement uniting Malabo and Moscow, in the political, economic and security areas.
